Events Coordinator (casual contractor)
📍 Based in Busselton & surrounds
📅 Contract: August 2025 – February 2026

Are you a creative organiser who loves community vibes and summer events? 💃🎉
The Festival of Busselton is on the lookout for an experienced and enthusiastic Events Coordinator to help bring our 2026 program to life!

This is a paid, casual contractor role perfect for someone with 2+ years’ event co-ordinator experience, especially if you’ve worked with the City of Busselton before.

Some of the awesome events you’ll help deliver NYE Celebration, Water Fight, Outdoor Movie Nights, Dogs Day Out, Bluey’s Picnic, Petticoat Lane, and Main Event Concert (few examples)

📝 Key tasks include:
✅ Report directly to the President and Vice President and work closely with relevant event sub-committees.
✅ Act as the primary liaison with the City of Busselton, submitting all required applications and coordination with relevant authorities for event approval
✅ Preparing grants application, acquittal report and assisting with sponsorships
✅ Coordinate with the relevant authorities for event approvals
✅ Sending fortnightly progress updates
✅ Attending monthly committee meetings (online or in person) if requested by President/VP
✅ Working with an awesome, passionate volunteer team!
✅ Submit all quotes to the treasurer for approval before proceeding with work or payments

🎯 You’ll need to have:
✔ 2+ years’ experience running large scale community or cultural events in the South-West
✔ Experience working with the City of Busselton events team and understand the event approval processes
✔ Strong organisation & communication skills
✔ Confidence working independently and with stakeholders
✔ Availability from August 2025 to February 2026 (hours to be negotiated a month in advanced – as and when required by the Festival)
